Alsace Grands Crus are produced exclusively from grapes grown in designated “grands crus” terroirs which are invariably located on south/south eastward-facing slopes.
These terroirs produce wines that are the jewels in the crown of Alsace and which have great ageing potential. They are, for the most part, made from the following grapes: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Muscat.
